Yolanda Pruitt '78 leveraged her Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority sisterhood in a group effort to fund a Maryland Incentive Awards Scholarship for students who have achieved academic success despite significant life challenges. The Theta Nu Chapter of AKA is the first traditionally African American sorority organized at Maryland.
